Milwaukee area families tested some fun products, including a few with an October theme: farms, breast cancer awareness and the Great Pumpkin!

It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown: The Making of a Television Classic

Hundreds of full-color images and anecdotes of how the Halloween classic was created. $19.99

This book is fun for kids and adults. My boys enjoy reading the illustrated script and listening to my feeble attempt to do the various character voices. The book does explain that the actual character voices are done by children, which my boys find fascinating.

Sheets and comforter combined with zippered sides. $69.99

The mundane chore of making the bed is now exciting and easy for my 5 ½-year-old. Highlights include the reversible patterns (including one glow-in-the-dark side!) and the side pocket to hold a flashlight or small toys. It is easy to wash despite the bulkiness. My son suggests a lighter, built-in sheet for summer nights.

Forever Pink Yoga Mat and Foam Roller

Lightweight mat with a non-slip surface. $21.98. Roller for arm and leg work. $24.98. One dollar from each sale supports the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

I really like this yoga mat. I do PiYo and sweat a lot. This mat has such good grip, I don't need a towel. My husband also likes using the foam roller on his thigh muscles.

My Drinky

Adjustable juice box holder with handles. BPA free. $9.95

This is a must-have for small children. My toddler almost always spills her juice box drink, but not with My Drinky! We haven't found a juice box it won't hold. It’s great for the car and washes easily in the dishwasher. Cute for both boys and girls.

My Farm Friends

A personalized board book turns the reader into a farmer. $29.95

When my son saw his face in this book, he got so excited. He pointed to it and I think it was the first time he said his name! He smiles and laughs the whole time I’m reading it. I love how his name is everywhere. It’s so cute! I’m also impressed at how well constructed it is.

Dubble Trubble

Hypoallergenic with scents like water-melon, bananaberry and cherry bomb. $4.99

I love that these shampoo/body washes are SLES, SLS and paraben free. I prefer the subtle scent of the cucumber, but my kids' favorite is strawberry. All of them lather nicely and they certainly make my kids excited for bath time!
