If you're looking for some family-friendly ways to get in the holiday spirit, look no further than the Milwaukee Public Museum this holiday season.
Here are three ways the museum is celebrating this year:
Deck the Streets
On November 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors are invited to experience an even cooler than usual Streets of Old Milwaukee. You'll get the chance to choose a Christmas tree at North Side Fuel & Lumber Co., shop for ornaments in the General Store, and get some stocking stuffers at the toy store.
The European Village will also be decked out for the holidays with the chance to celebrate Hanukkah at the Jewish House, Christmas in the courtyard, and listen to the sounds of the season from carolers.
Black Friday Fun
Instead of scoping out the crowded stores the day after Thanksgiving, head to the museum from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You and your kids will get the opportunity to make a 19th-century toy, decorate a streetcar postcard and create an ornament. You'll also be able to share your own family's holiday traditions on a holiday traditions chain.
European Village Alive
On Friday, December 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, December 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., you'll get the opportunity to interact with costumed enactors and interpreters who will be sharing European holiday traditions of the past.
