The Greater Milwaukee Foundation started its Gifts to the Community program last year to celebrate the organization's centennial. The foundation wanted to emphasize what's great about the Milwaukee area by giving community members great gifts like free admission to the zoo, art museums and nature centers and a behind-the-scenes tour of Miller Park.

The program was such a success that the Greater Milwaukee Foundation decided to reprise it this year. In partnering with The Fund for Lake Michigan, the program this year will focus on Lakefront excursions.

On October 15, the Gifts to the Community will include free admission to Betty Brinn Children's Museum, Discovery World, the Milwaukee Art Museum and Port Washington's Port Exploreum and 1860 Light Station.

Check out the details of the event at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation's website.
