The Northcott Neighborhood House will host the 45th annual Milwaukee Juneteenth Day celebration on Sunday, with food vendors, novelty booths, a walk to raise awareness of Sickle Cell Disease, a parade and more.

From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., people can celebrate on N. King Drive between W. Center and W. Burleigh streets.

Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery, marking the day in 1865 when slaves in Texas heard the Civil War ended.
