From beer and golf to hiking and eating, families have several options at Milwaukee County Parks to celebrate dad on Father's Day June 19.

Military vehicles on display

Members of the Midwest Military Vehicle Association will showcase their military transportation vehicles at Boerner Botanical Gardens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. 

Vehicles include a Vietnam-era ambulance and large-tracked, armored vehicles.

The Botanical Gardens also are open from 8 a.m. to dusk. Admission is $5.50/adults and $3.50/child ages 6-17.

Plus, the Zilli Hospitality will offer a special Father’s Day brunch from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Botanical Gardents. The menu includes salmon, sirloin, chicken alfredo, poutine and more. Reservations and pricing are available at

Traveling Beer Garden

The Traveling Beer Garden is at two locations from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.: Grant Park, 100 E. Hawthorne Ave., and Froemming Park, 8801 S. 51st St.

Enjoy Sprecher beers, sodas, root beer floats, food and more. Outside food is welcome.

Golf and FootGolf free for dads

Dads can receive a free round of golf or FootGolf at 15 golf courses Sunday for tee times after 1 p.m. To receive the special offer, children, spouses or friends must purchase a round, and a dad plays for free.

The Mitchell Park Domes

Check out the new seasonal floral display, 'Summer on Olympus.' The exhibit is filled with Mediterranean herbs and fruit-filled citrus trees. 

General admission is $3. Admission for children ages 5 and younger is free.
