Free admission

Several of Milwaukee's top family destinations, including the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Milwaukee County Zoo, are offering free admission for moms on Sunday, May 8. For more, visit

Boerner Botanical Gardens

Participate in a free Mother's Day family event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Boerner Botanical Gardens. Kids will enjoy three different craft activities.

Golf in the parks

Moms receive a free round and a special deal on a single rider golf car at ten courses in Milwaukee County, including Curry, Grant, Lincoln, Brown Deer and Whitnall. The deal is valid on May 7 and May 8 after 1 p.m. 

Beer Gardens

A few of the beer gardens in the Milwaukee area are now open for the season, including Estabrook Park Beer Garden and Humboldt Park Beer Garden. Assuming the weather is nice, take mom out for a pint!

Milwaukee Mother's Day 5K + 10K

Moms, you get a rose at the finish line and a cake pop! Located at Veterans Park, the Milwaukee Mother's Day 5K and 10K start at 8:30 a.m. The Kids Dash at 8:15 a.m. is free. 

Milwaukee Museum Member Swap Day

Membership to one of these Milwaukee destinations will get your free reciprocal admission: Betty Brinn Children's Museum, Charles Allis Art Museum, Grohmann Museum, Harley-Davidson Museum, Milwaukee Art Museum, Pabst Mansion and Villa Terrace Art Museum.

Country Springs Waterpark

The kids will likely need to head to be early after all the fun swimming! Moms receive a free day pass admission May 6-8 at Country Springs Waterpark with the purchase of one full price admission.

Art in the City: Plein Air MKE

Arts will paint what they see along the Milwaukee Museum Mile from Juneau Park to Lake Park. The major streets for painting will be Prospect, Terrace and Wahl avenues, with 'quick paint' opportunities on Brady Street and North Avenue. Runs through May 14.
