Love the outdoors? The 2016 Sports Show runs Wednesday through Sunday at State Fair Park in West Allis, featuring everything from fishing and hunting to boating and hiking.

Plus, children 12 and under are admitted free. Adult tickets are $7.

The event is Wisconsin's largest and longest-running gathering of fishing, hunting and boating products, travel destinations and entertainment.

Families can enjoy the trout pond, archery range, lumberjack competitions, canoe jouting, fastest retriever competition and several demos and fun activities. John Kuhn will be there on Wednesday, and Scott Tolzein will be there on Thursday.

Thursday also offers several discounted admission opportunities:

  • Anyone with a disability receives free admission from 12-5 p.m.
  • All veterans and active duty military receive free admission from 12-9 p.m.
  • Thursday is Scout Day sponsored by Metroparent! Scouts and one troop leader per group gets FREE admission from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
