Tubing is fun at any age. Here are five locations within a 2-hour drive of Milwaukee.

And with all of these locations, be sure to call ahead and check on snow conditions. Some locations require tubers to sign a waiver, and they all provide tubes unless otherwise noted.

Cascade Mountain

Drive from Milwaukee: 1 hour 35 minutes

Not too far from Wisconsin Dells, this tubing spot is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, 4-9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Cost is $25 for unlimited tubing for ages 7 and up. It's $12 for ages 6 and younger.

Christmas Mountain

Drive from Milwaukee: 2 hours

Located about four miles from downtown Wisconsin Dells, snow tubing is available Monday through Friday from 12-9 p.m. for $15-$25 and Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. for $18-$25.

Blackwell Forest Preserve/Mt. Hoy

West Chicago, Ill.

Drive from Milwaukee: 1 hour 45 minutes

When there's more than 3 inches of snow on the ground, tubing fans can take a ride down Mount Hoy. Tubes can be rented for $5 on weekends and school holidays December through February.

Sunburst

Drive from Milwaukee:

Recognized by USA Today as one of the top ten tubing parks in the country, Sunburst has 45 tubing lanes. Visitors can go tubing Tuesday through Thursday from 4-9:30 p.m., Friday, Sunday and Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to midnight. Tubing admission varies from $12-$19, depending on day and session length.

The Rock Snow Park

Drive from Milwaukee:

The park offers limitless rides for two-hour periods Friday through Sunday and unlimited tubing Wednesday and Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Cost is $15/ride on Wednesday and Thursday and $16/ride Friday through Sunday. The park is closed Monday and Tuesday.

Villa Olivia

Drive from Milwaukee: About 2 hours

The tubing hill is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Cost is $20 for ages 6 and older or $5 for ages 4 and 5 who are required to share a tube. Night tube tickets on Thursday and Friday from 5-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 5-10 p.m. are $17 or $5.

Wilmot Mountain

Drive from Milwaukee: 55 minutes

This spot offers a kiddie hill for the youngest tubers for free! Tubing hours are Monday through Thursday 4-10 p.m., Friday from 4-11 p.m. and Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Cost is $25-$35, depending on day and session length.
