There's going to be gorgeous weather this weekend; that's why MetroParent's top picks for weekend activities are all outside!
1. Get your Easter celebration started with an outside Easter egg hunt!
Humboldt Park Easter Egg Hunt: Search of the golden eggs! The hunt is open to children 12 and under. There will be sections for the following age groups: toddlers, ages 3 to 5, ages 6 to 8, and ages 9 to 12.
Humboldt Park, west side of pavilion, 3000 S. Howell Ave., Milwaukee
Saturday, April 8: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
2. Okay, this one may not technically be outdoors, but it's definitely spring-themed! And why not check out the pop-up museum and then head out for a stroll around the Domes? You're in a park after all!
Pop-Up Museum: Homegrown Kitchen! Are you proud of the vegetable that brought you first place at the State Fair? Bring in your ribbon! Do you use a particular recipe for dilly beans? Show us! Have a story about transplanting rhubarb from your grandparents’ house? Share it with us! If you have an object, photograph or story that shares how you use, grow and produce locally, we want to see it and share it.
Milwaukee Winter Farmer’s Market at the Mitchell Park Domes, 524 S. Layton Blvd., Milwaukee
Saturday, April 8: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
3. Again, the event isn't technically outside, but Discovery World is on an amazing piece of property, right on the Lake and very near to lots of great outdoor strolling places!
Spring Fling Egg Hunt: Bring the whole family to hunt for eggs throughout the museum! Find 7 eggs (one of each color), show them to the Ticket Counter, and be entered into a drawing to win a FREE Family Membership! Plus, if you find a gold bonus egg, redeem for a special prize!
