Southeast Wisconsin has a treasure in the Center for Children's Literature at Carthage College in Kenosha. The Center houses more than 25,000 children's and young adult books, and encourages the public to browse its extensive collection.

Additionally, the Center holds workshops, organizes reading programs and sponsors lectures and seminars, all geared toward instilling a love of reading in children.

On Saturday, April 8, the Center is holding a spring book sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The sale will feature hardcover books for $3, paperbacks for $1 and even some free books!

Proceeds from the sale will go toward expanding the Center's collection and funding author visits to the campus.

For more information, check out the Center's website.
