Toddler swimming lessons around Mequon

I'm looking to sign my 20 month old up for swim lessons. I'm looking for something less intense than ISR but maybe more than just splashing around. Looking for suggestions, and/or thoughts on swimming at Splash! Mequon, Swimtastic, the YMCA and the JCC.

  1. We utilized swimtastic when my daughter was 18 months old. It's pricey, but the warmth of the pool is worth it. They aren't afraid to help ease your child under the water (through a hula hoop) and float on their backs. My daughter is now 5 and when she is in the bath tub she immediately flips in her back to float while singing the abc's (just as they did at Swimtastic). And swimming under the water-eyes open and no goggles- is nothing to her. I attribute those skills to starting early at Swimtastic.

The ability to access technology and communicate hands-free using smartglasses certainly appeals to parents. Get the lowdown on Google Glass from metroparent's Plugged in Parent.

Would you buy smartglasses, such as Google Glass?

No, it's just a fad.

No, another gadget for distraction is not what we need.

I'm interested, but I'll wait to see if the technology catches on.

Yes, it's the latest and greatest gadget.
